There is he old wives tale that everything happens in threes. I think I am well on the way to disproving that one. This is what has happened thus far!
1. Flat roof leaking
2. Bulb goes in kitchen
3. Car service light comes on
4. Bulb goes in passenger headlight (on a side note, we bought a two for £10 special last time one bulb went, have now lost the second bulb so that became a one for £10 which is just so annoying!)
5. Vacuum cleaner breaks and we have to buy a new one!
There are two ways of looking at this. Either I am in the middle of the next batch of threes or there is no such rule!
Everything happens in threes, or does it?

Everything obviously comes in fives for you Mike.
Or if you're feeling pessimistic, then indeed two batches of three....

what about two batches of eight? or one brood of fifty? it usually depends on your atitude to the situation; a pessimistic mind like mine can connect miserable events happening years part, whereas positive thinking would have already moved on or matched another list of five brilliant things that had occured. its all a case of prospective

Well, if everything happens in threes, then you are going to need another new bulb because you've had 3x'breakdowns' and 2xlight bulb failures.
