I saw that one too! 40,000 cd's just dumped, that must have cost them an absolute fortune. Oh well, who ever thought that Jordan / Andre duet would be a good thing?

Fancy sending your email via Snail Mail? Have a look at this site then. They're using live snails and some nifty technology to send email, as and when the snails feel like it!
I've sent myself one just (yes I am that sad!)...wonder how long it'll take?
Can you get the ants to do something similar Phil?

I like the fact that real snale mail is sponsored by the arts council, bournmouth university and two others I don't recognise! The creators are all research fellows and senior lecturers! I wish I had a job like that. Will send a snail message right now too!

Re: In the News
in music news the eager anticipated new metallica album is apparently titled 'death magnetic' if the cryptic posts at www.metallica.com are anything to go off. the band have recently apologised to certain websites when positive reviews of the forthcoming release were axed on the instance of overly protective management types.

If any of you are struggling for a wedding present then I am sure Rowenna would understand the term ''impulse buy''. Just a hint, it is uber-cool.BarcelonAl wrote:How goddamn cool is this? Lego Death Star. Only $400 as well...

Re: In the News
I don't think you can get these in the UK but I am sure that you know someone in the US of A at the moment that would be able to help you!
I would like one too but want something else more.

Highschool student does a Ferris Bueler and hacks the school computer to change his grades. . . . he is now imprisoned with a $50k bail (that has not been posted by the parents) and is awaiting trial. The thing is, he got greedy, he changed up to 12 peoples grades!

life for sale. House, job, friends, car, motorbike, jetski. (Wife not included... phew
)
Aussie bloke is dumped by his wife so puts his ENTIRE life on ebay. His employer has even agreed to interview whoever wins the auction and potentially give em a shot at his job!
He just wants to walk away with his passport and whatever cash he gets.
Last I heard bidding was nearing £1000000!

Re: In the News
Here are a few interesting Manchester based news stories that might interest you.
Manchester Big Wheel might have its last Manchester turn on this Sunday 29 June 2008! Apparently Manchester City Council have given the company who owns the wheel the big push off signals (or it wants more money).
Manchester Piccadilly is to get 5 new high speed line connections to London similar to the super fast french trains? I hope so, more news should be released about this today. It would be the UK's biggest laying of track since the 19th century!
The ultimate Car Pool club set up by Damon Hill allows you to timeshare own the super fast, super charged more environmentally unfriendly cars of all time. If you can afford the joining fees of £2,500 and annual membership of £12,500-14,000 a year. Obviously I think I will stick with the polo for a little while longer but a cool idea.

interesting eco note from top gear last night; driven at reasonable speeds [i.e. sticking to the speed limit], the bmw m5 has better fuel ecomony than a toyota prius
