This is a post from a computer. What is the difference?

Re: Apple iPhone
I can not believe it but Al is taking his iPhone back! He loves it but understandably feels very guilt about the big purchase. I really want one now! Before I just thought I wanted one.

Re: Apple iPhone
Well I was sort of right about the new iphone models to be released. They were not announced at MacWorld but we have just had news that the 16gb iPhone is available in the US of A and a new 32gb iPod Touch has been released too. This must be because the larger flash drives are getting cheaper all the time.
Not only that but the 32gb iPod is just $499 or £250 approximately which is cheaper than the 16gb version in the UK.
I have just found out that my phone contract is due to end by the end of July this year so I will be an iPhone owner in August 2008! Yay!

Re: Apple iPhone
Just by comparison the 16gb and 32gb models in the uk are £329 - why are we paying £70 more than recommended in the US of A?

I won't be paying £70 more than the Yanks as I intend to take advantage of the fantastic exchange rates and Apple's worldwide guarantee and get one while we're in the Big Apple...Mike wrote:Just by comparison the 16gb and 32gb models in the uk are £329 - why are we paying £70 more than recommended in the US of A?

Re: Apple iPhone
4 million units were sold last year! (Though not really a dent in the 1,150,000,000 phones sold worldwide last year! Nokia sold about 38% of them though)

Re: Apple iPhone
3rd Party Applications are now available for the iPhone (or at least they will be by june!) thanks to the SDK kit and the App Store through iTunes. Wicked the monkey ball game looked good, so did VoIP and AIM programmes - all made in five days with no running head start (apparently).

Re: Apple iPhone
iPlayer comes to iPhone the BBC have created a 3rd party app for the iPhone that lets the iPlayer (the program that lets you re-watch tv on the internet) stream video over wireless networks. Amazing - rock on August, I really need one now! To make use of all those free wi-fi minutes on my BT broadband.

Re: Apple iPhone
Here are some new iPhone rumours for you:
National Shortage of iPhones does this indicate the imminent release of an iPhone version 2 with GPS and 3G?
iPhone software 2.0 the SDK version that will allow you to have 3rd party apps on the iPhone (old news but relevant to the first story)
iPhone Version 2 again!

Re: Apple iPhone
Apple have released a press release (which is rare in itself - they usually prefer KeyNote events for sharing news) that announces the iPhone SDK (software developer kit) has reached 100,000 downloads and includes some pretty big names in the programming industry. Sega, EA and NameCo have joined the ranks, amongst others of course!
