The BT Home Hub has a security flaw when you are using the default wep key that the system ships with. If you are using this key, change it! Else you might be letting your network be open to an unsolicited attach!

An enemployed lorry driver conned a business man out of £1 million after claiming he was acting on behalf of the Barclay's Brothers and was selling the Ritz hotel for £250 million when it was worth £600 million!

Bionic Eyes have been successfully implanted into a person to give them partial useful sight. Cool, it might not be the end for all us bespectacled persons (assuming the sight keeps getting worse that is!).

Re: In the News
Wesley Snipes has received a three year sentence for failing to submit a tax return between 1999 and 2001 (three years in total). That is pretty harsh for a relatively small crime, I notice he was offering a $5 million dollar 'gesture' of good will to the authorities. I read 'Bribe' at that point!

Give him a camcorder to record his experiences... It'd be his best film in about 10years!
Although he'll probably wind up in some celeb prison a la Paris Hilton.
Some weird stories on the net at the moment, the Austrian locking up his daughter and having 7kids by her is horrible. The bloke who regrew his finger tip using "pixie dust" is nicer, but with cool pictures.
this caught my eye... his owner says he's harmless, but the authorities have instructed local kids to stay indoors

Re: In the News
BBC are reporting that Manchester United is the worlds most valuable club in the world at nearly £1,000m (well £904 to be precise). I suppose that will help them with their estimated £500m of debt, or has that been paid off now?

Re: In the News
Borris wins the electoral race. I always expect him to have a higher pitched voice (I think it is the foppish hair that always gets me). It is very strange as his victory speech seems very confused when compared with Ken Livingstone so that makes me surprised that he actually got in.

Re: In the News
I think it's just fantastic that Bumbling Boris could oust Slimy Ken, three cheers for democracy. Probably those descriptions are grossly unfair, but that's how it comes across to me.
I am really going to have to watch "Have I Got News For You" on Friday because i think it could be brilliant. They pulled poor Boris's leg so unmercifully when he was hosting...
London now also lives in Interesting Times.

Re: In the News
I was fairly impressed with Boris's victory speech and the interview that you've linked to, but I've not been following his policies at all. Consider my judgement reserved for the time being, but I've always thought he was a fairly decent person, as far as politicians go, so London's future should indeed be interesting...

Re: In the News
Paid off the debt? No chance, it has been refinanced and restructured a little but the current level still stands at around £450m and the club actually made a loss of £26m this year after all the repayments, costs and such like were taken into account.Mike wrote:BBC are reporting that Manchester United is the worlds most valuable club in the world at nearly £1,000m (well £904 to be precise). That does not surprise me at all. You are the most highly indebted club in the world!

Re: In the News
Have you seen the news about the 73 year old who drugged and kidnapped his 18 year old daughter and kept her as a sex object for 24 years. She had 7 children by him and 1 died after birth. I can not believe that he got away with it for so long. Or that he was bothered that the 19 year old child was ill enough to require hospital treatment. All in all a disgusting / digraceful event - I really feel sorry for all those abused people, its rather amazing he was able to conceal it for so long.

Re: In the News
The Manchester Evening News are reporting that Manchester is likely to get a National Opera house in preference to a Casino. Mr Gordon Brown is reported to be in favour of this building when compared with a gambling house. How interesting is that, I think it tells a lot about his character.
