Web Hosting

Post by Mike »

I think I may be going US side for the web hosting next year. I have been told about a hositing service that give 20gb space, 500gb bandwidth and 50 sql databases for $3.99.

This takes the micky out of my service at the moment doesnt it. . . . :D

PS For comparrison 100mb, 1.5gb bandwidth and 1 sql databse. The robbing swines.

Quick question Mike, why would you want 50 sql databases? :? It does sound like a better deal though!

Oh...and 'Hi' by the way, thought I'd better join in order to defend myself when you finally post the holiday pictures!

I don't but I would rather have 49 unused databases than the right amount and paying more!

It is more about the bandwidth than anything else to be honest!

btw. Welcome! I really really need to get those photos online. Choice for me tonight now it is either Gym and Food or website improvements?

Or combine all three...take your laptop to the gym and update the site while on the treadmill, rowing machine etc.

As for eating, get Lizzie to spoon feed you dinner while you work! :)

How can you say that and then not tell us who the hosting provider is!? Go on, you know you want to. It sure beats Qubefactor, anyways, who always looked pretty good to me if I ever felt the need to foist my personal woes and artistry upon the internet-going public. I don't think the public are quite ready yet, though.

The US hosting service is ix Web Hosting my hosting provider is provider-one.

Like I said, I am tempted to get the domain moved over to them and totally sack off current providers.

Sod it, sack them off, it sure beats worrying about bandwidth limits. Then send provider-one a link to the ix website. It's the only way they'll learn.
