Sale vs Newcastle

Post by Mike »

Hiya

We went to the ruggers on Friday (29 September) and it was fun. The game itself was a bit boring and quite low scoring really. We won which was good and Lizzie and I bought Sale t-shirts and are well on our way to being actual supporters and not just pretend ones!

On another note, I watched the first half of the Blues vs Wasps game on saturday as we were getting ready for Laura and Daniels wedding. Saw a really good try by Wasps from their 22! Very cool.

Hope all the rest of you enjoyed.

Apart from my usual public transport woes (why do all trains I ever need to catch go from Platform 13?), I had a good night.

I thought (and this is from my limited knowledge of rugby), that Sale controlled the game throughout, without needing to play particularly top quality rugby. Newcastle didn't seem willing to up their game, so Sale didn't need to stretch themselves too much either.

Incidently

Incidently, (pardon the pun) the player Faure, who was stretchered off, broke his tibia, but don't worry, it was a clean break (apparently a good thing?! ) and will be back playing in 6-8weeks.

Are rugby players hard or what?! 8)

As for your rugby shirts, very cool! I'm so jealous, my shirt doesn't have gills!!!

I think the clean break is good because it's just fractured in one place, so they can just set it and let nature do it's thing. As opposed to multiple breaks, or splintering, or...something.

6-8 weeks does seem a bit short, maybe rugby players have special healing powers, or it really was a "minor" break.
