My Favourite Games

Post by Mike »

This list will probably change dramatically but here are a few of my favourites.

1) Rome Total War
2) Age of Mythology
3) Command and Conquer Generals & Red Alert
4) Squares
5) Hitman Contracts
6) GTA San Andreas (Previous Entry - GTA: Vice City; I am ardent PC user so am waiting for San Andreas with baited breath)
7) Sims
8.) Tomb Raider Series (Though after 3 I lost interest. . . .)
9) Legend of Zelda
10) R-Type
11) Dizzy
12) Mario Bros (Before it was republished)

When I think of more I will edit this post!

May as well throw my top five in, in no particular order:

1) Rome Total War
2) Hitman Contracts
3) Operation Flashpoint
4) SWAT 3
5) Sim City 3000

Damn you, Mike, I'd forgotten about San Andreas coming out. I may now have to buy a new computer for this very reason. And because I'll probably have had a major component failure by then (four years and counting *touches wood*).

You have jinxed it now - your PC is doomed, doomed I say! Saying that you could just buy a PS2 and get it now - would be cheaper!

I'm half hoping my pc will be doomed shortly: any old excuse for a new one. Can't be doing with those ps2's though, as I despise trying to aim with the crappy controllers. Mices rulez.

Good point. Worms 2 was ace. Shame they then brought out the worms 3D where there was no land to demolish!

I just have to say but the land is destructable in Worms3D, Mike.

Unless I'm thinking of the wrong game.

I think Mike's referring to the fact that it always generates bitty islands with very little consistent land-mass. Drowning kills are the order of the day in that one.

Both of the above are correct. The islands were just rubbish. If it had been a proper landscape like the pervious versions of worms then it would have been lots more fun. As it is all you had to do was propel the opponent into the water, no fun at all.

Fun if you use the baseball bat. Or at least it was in previos worms titles.

But I see your point about the land.
