Chalk Homer

Post by Mike »

This BBC article shows a giant chalk Homer on the mountain side by a pagan fertility symbol, it has the pagans in a bit of bother at the moment and they are praying for rain. Funny though!

I like it! Not sure whether Homer is a modern fertility symbol though, although I suppose he and Marge do have three young kids!

It was a great way to advertise the film though - it was covered on a huge number of online news persons!

Who don't seem to age normally, and no-one notices. It might be the nuclear plant that's to blame.

That's true. When I have kids I may move to Sellafield to save on clothes shopping!

The National Trust which owns the land Chalk Homer is painted on has started to grumble at the company who said that the paint would be water based. . . . the rains have sort of proved them wrong!

I guess it depends how thick they painted it on...could be there a while. Does this mean we also have the pagans to blame for the recent flooding?
