Suitable use for Dogs - From Lizzie's perspective
Here is a link to a stuffed dog museum in the UK. I think Lizzie would agree that this is a suitable use for dogs (ie non moving!).

What?!?! I do not get this one. Why is the money being put towards Leicester's dinosaurs, what is wrong with Manchesters? Or Liverpools? I wish they would explain why they back these grants. The article wrote:Some other grants have also been awarded to:
- A room makeover for Leicester's dinosaurs (New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester)

I got sent this today - it made me very happy:
'This ought to tell you something about Pittbulls !!
A Pittbull decided he would battle a Porcupine in back of his house here
in Southern California . But being both brave and stupid, he ultimately
learned the hard way that he can't always win, no matter how tough you are...
A vet sedated the dog, and then removed a total of 1,347 quills.
The dog survived, and hopefully learned a valuable lesson.......
Don't mess with Porcupines !!! '

possibly you bring out the worst in dogs - our family canine companions are neither vicious, smelly or stupid. in fact, to quote a popular line:Lizzie wrote:Exactly my point. My dislike of dogs is totally reasonable they're
- Vicious
- Smelly
And top of all of this:
- Stupid
'the more i meet the rest of mankind, the more i love my dog.'
I came, I saw, I bought the T-shirt
If we're using vicious, smelly and stupid as criteria, we could probably include a surprising number of people as well.
Children and adults get killed by stuff all the time, so I don't see why we have to pick on dogs in this instance: also, some owners are just irresponsible, which doesn't help the reputation of dogs for being vicious. I'm sure if cats were bigger (ie. capable of doing more harm), they'd be hitting the headlines as well (hmm, a ten-stone Harley wandering around anyone?).

Erm- cats are psycological - a kitty has chased a bear up a tree and would not let it come down until the owner came to give the kitty it's tea! :D

The almost constant barking from some dogs annoys me the most about them. When this is accompanied by growling and baring of teeth, I can definitely understand any phobias people have about them.
As a side note, anyone know why there seems to be a cultural fear of dogs in Asia? Is this just a misconception on my part? Both Asian guys I knew at school were really pretty freaked out by them.

I suppose it depends on your experiences. If I was to have a dog at all then it would be similar to the one that Rowenna's mum has - big, dopey and loveable. Seriously, I hated dogs before I met Rusty and this dog is soooo cool it is untrue - unbelievable obedient, calm and affectionate in a ''non-slobber''ing fashion.
Robbo's dog, Cas, on the other hand is a total pain in the arse who does not shut up and is ugly. He knows this because I tell him. The bloody thing won't even let you get up stairs without trying to hump your leg.
Cats are cute things - Lucy and Smokey provide us with hours of joy. They are also very good stress relievers as well which is quite weird.
