This was listed on the radio yesterday as a real quandry that needed solving by the worlds greatest minds. I therefore, rather flatteringly, thought of the forum members. The question is thus.
"Why is Lemonade made with artificial flavours when washing powder and washing up liquid is made with REAL lemons?"
I would really like to know what possible reason there is for this. It is weird in the extreme when you think of it like that!
The people who make fizzy lemonade are just cheapskates? The profit margins and competition are probably low and high respectively, hence the resorting to artificial flavouring. As far as the washing powder goes, I imagine they use as little real lemon as possible as well (being cynical, I'd say just enough so you can smell it).
I am still drunk, so the above is probably wrong, wrong, wrong. It is indeed a bizarre situation though.
Seems like a reasonable guess to me! :D Just goes to prove my theory about the intellegence of the forum posters being right - even when dulled with drink they manage to construct a magnificent argument.

Are you sure its not because of the drink? No offence, John ;)
I like that proviso. It sort of makes me think that the Free Sky from last nights PQ would be on the same sort of basis.
Free Sky for a year*

Hopefully there aren't any similar conditions attached to the free t-shirt. I'd hate to think I've just become Murdoch's slave/ latest stolen soul/ concubine/ whatever.
