Useless Prizes...
I spent £15 on raffle tickets (all for a good cause...Cancer Research) and won...a Sony Playstion 3 controller!
Looks like I'll be flogging that on fleaBay!

Wow a controller. . . . . can tell I always read the small print? I bet that was a OMG- I have won followed quickly by WTF?! Pretty pointless I fear, can you swap it for a Wii controller?

Al, do the "trading up" game, and see if you can get a house out of it. You've got a better start than the more famous guy (he had only a paperclip), so it should be no problem.

Re: Useless Prizes...
That would be really cool! I wonder how far you would manage to trade up!

Hmm...if I could be bothered, then the 'trading up' game could be fun. However I shall probably end up taking it to Game or Gamestation after Christmas and try to swap it for cash or store credit.
As for swapping it for a Wii controller...we don't have any!

Shocking! At least you are safe in the knowledge that your £15 gamble has given you £25-35 worth of kit! The prices really seem to vary but it would be a Wii game that is for sure.

We're flogging them for £37.99, as long as I clear a profit then I'm not fussed.
Not sure what game I fancy...any ideas?

Re: Useless Prizes...
Well you have Mario Galaxy so that is the top one off the list but here are some other highly rated games which are supposed to be TOP!:
1) Mario Galaxy (just for completeness you understand)
2) Metroid Prime
3) Battalion Wars 2
4) Lego Star Wars (The Complete Trilogy - not the other one which is rubbish [by all accounts]) This is supposed to be the same as the PS2 version though so be wary.
5) Madden NFL 08 (very curious about this game as it is very highly thought off)
6) Lara Croft Anniversary Edition
7) Ravin Rabids 2 (though not very highly rated by the critics)
There is an ace site you could check out to see what the reviews of game and other things. Metacritic gathers all the reviews and averages out the ratings. A very classy idea and very useful. Mario Galaxy managed to get an AVERAGE of 97% - quality!

Hurrah! Traded the controller in (plus a little bit of cash) for Tiger Woods 2008 at Gamestation in town.
They bought my 'daft uncle, unwanted Christmas present' story hook, line and sinker!

Quality! That is one of the games I was interested in buying but I have really bad memories of PGA Tour Golf 96 which was really impossible. You will have to let us know if this one actually lets you win smegging matches. I would be -6 under par and leading a tournament on hole 17 and +3 on hole 18 on frequent plays of PGA 96!

Re: Useless Prizes...
Tiger is brilliant... my younger brothers girlfriend actually threatened to leave him if he didn't curb his playing.
Apparently he had to think about it.
He says madden is good too, a bit complex whilst you learn whats going on- but worth the effort.
I've just seen a review of "trauma centre" which looks very entertaining. Clever use of the wii controller interface.
I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!
Still no luck... I have a popup telling me whenever one comes into stock online. Can I afford £235 with no extra stuff?? I'm beginning to think I might have to! They were in stock at HMV on sat., but I couldn't get to town in time.
