Yay! I have two pieces of further news.

1- Brian Ashton and his team have been offered another 12 month rolling contract. Which could be good (don't want to rock the boat too much with the Six Nations only 2 months away!). We shall see after the six nations though if he is a good choice - will have to build on the early stage performance this time I think.

2- Sebastian Chabal is to remain at Sale for the next three years! YAY! He was offered several places a French clubs following his world cup performance but he doesn't want all the attention so he will stay in the UK. I will have to see what my mate Saint-Andre has to say on the subject. . . or I could just ask Chrissie who is said to be close personal friends with the caveman of rugby! :-)

Well, at least a 12 month contract gives a combination of motivation and some stability.

Seeeeea Baaaaaass! The guy's fun to watch, what can I say?

I am going to see the Leicester Kittens play Sale on Sunday 23 December. I am hoping we will retain our winning streak at home AND that it will not rain. I don't like standing in the open air during a rugby match. . . .

Sale managed to just about keep the kittens at bay in Edgeley Park yesterday though it was an error filled and tense game! The sun shining in our eyes did not help in the first half but that quickly went down and left us with a very cold stadium instead. We saw lots of action from Hodgeson, Chabal, McAlister, Wigglesworth and BRUNO which was amazing.

One of these days we will have to get to the ground earlier to buy tickets in the 'win the shirt of your favourite sharks player' competition. I wan an overlarge Chabal / Hodgeson shirt! :-D

Cool. Asthon gets an MBE and Jason Robinson has received an OBE I can never remember which is better but I hope it is Robinsons! :-D

Robinson is indeed better than Ashton. An MBE is merely a Member of the British Empire, whilst an OBE makes Jason an Officer of the British Empire. I think they both come with double Tesco Points and the ability to jump queues for public toilets and the like!

Finally a little bit of glory for Robinson, but if he was a footballer he would be an Earl by now!!!

I watched the Rugby World Cup review earlier today which was fun - watching us beat the aussies and then France. And I missed it during the game, but when Josh Lewsey scored that audacious try at the start against France, he touched down, got up and patted the Frenchman on the head as if to say "Sorryyyyyyyy! ;-) Well, you would, wouldn't you! Overall, it was a very GASy programme and generally good for the soul! ;-)
