That is very honest thought and should be applauded. I wish someone had been as positive with my Nokia N70. . . . oh well. It is a shame that the camera went missing but I suppose there is nothing that can be done about it now. Hope you are feeling better about it now, eventually you will get over it but I remember feeling very stupid when I lost my phone. Strictly Come Dancing is on at the moment though, so that should be diverting at the very least!

1) Tesco are selling selected foreign beers at 20% off. Try the Estonian beer - I can't place it on here due to a weird selection of letters - but it is actually rather good and comes in an interesting octagonal bottle in the shape of an elongated pyramid/prism.

Slightly tweaked the above post - you can find the second half in another more private forum!

Lesson 7 Hot soup on a cold day is amazing!

Lesson 8 Sainsbury's are doing 3 crates of beer for £20! Amazing! :-D

Sainsbury's don't want to help people whose New Year Resolution was to cut down on their alcohol consumption (me included!) do they?

What I learnt today was that playing pool with a cue that has a chunk missing from it, really affects your game (and gives you splinters).

Well I could blame the wonky table (a straight hit ball from the centre will curl perfectly towards a side) or the fact that one pocket has a section of baize which is unstuck and acts as a buffer unless you absolutely smack the ball...but right now I'm blaming the cue!

There is a saying about workmen and their tools. . . . I think it might be appropriate in this case. Personally I like to blame a 'run of bad luck'. My streak of bad luck at the moment (in pool that is - not life!) is pretty bad. :-0

Things learnt on Saturday.

1. The size of a flat is in direct proportion to the amount of letting agent waffle. The more waffle, the smaller the flat.

2. The Wetherspoon burger may be improved but it's still not very good.

This was learnt yesterday...

Green Flag Breakdown can't count! I just got a '10% No Callout Discount' despite having called them out to fix/remove my exhaust pipe when it decided to make a determined break for freedom.

However, I shan't be looking no gift horse in its mouth and will be remaining very quiet about it! :D

Lesson 9 I look like Mr Collins from the BBC dramatisation of Pride and Prejudice when my hair is combed forwards.

Lesson 10 The new James Bond film will be out in December 2008. It will feature Daniel Craig and one of the lead actresses from St Trinians.

Today I learned that:
1. my work PC is rubbish (it wouldn't let me sign in to this forum).
2. using alcohol based hand wash REALLY hurts when you've got skinned knuckles.

1) This new cold/superbug is no joke.
2) That as a football club Newcastle United is in the shitter.
3) All in all, it has been a real crap day.
4) The only highlight is our new Expresso machine which makes damn good coffee because it has a milk frother thingy.
5) That damn good coffee doesn't help a cold or a crisis at your football club.
