Green ISA's

Post by Mike »

The Tories are pledging to bring in Green ISA's as a form of savings and investments in companies that have a green kite mark! The only down side appears to be that the Tories would have to be in power to instigate the incentive! ;-)

Surprised as I am to be saying this, it actually seems like a good idea (but the devil's always in the details). Considering the interest rates on green / ethical products are usually poorer, this would help to bring them onto a level playing field. As long as it wasn't too easy to get a kitemark, it should work fairly well.
