Council Workers Suspended after being seen by the public having sex in the window of a council property in Oldham for 20 minutes. A Police Officer noticed them as well and watched for 20 minutes before becoming bored and went in side to tell them that they were on show. They have been suspended pending a full investigation. . . . what are they going to give them? A medal?

Dreaded Blue Screen of Death in the Olympic opening ceremony! LoL!

Report from Think Tank suggests that Northern Towns such as Liverpool and Sunderland should face facts, understand that they are no longer viable and people should move south to find the jobs and standard of living they aspire to. Way to improve the North South divide MORONS! If everyone moves south we will all be on a gigantic flood plane with no water and very expensive housing. What a brilliant idea that is, I think I will pack up my tent and go and find a 2x2m square patch of bog land to pitch it.

More Olympic controversy... here

Indian shooter claims his gun was tampered with, but then its mentioned that they get 3mins of practice to set their sights properly and that its HIS responsibility to supervise his gun AT ALL TIMES! He won gold anyway, so no harm, no foul.

More interesting is the later story in the Chinese gold medal winning gymnasts come under suspicion... they were 13 and 14 less than 12months ago (according to the Chinese press) and are now 15 going on 16- which is the minimum age for gymnasts. Having seen the event, they LOOKED about 10! Although they do have passports stating they are of age... anyone else suspicious?

Not at all...those nice Chinese wouldn't do anything untoward in order to boost their medal tally, especially when the Olympics is in their country AND they're currently leading the USA in the table.

Is that a good enough reply Mr Cho Ping?

As you know.. I'm slightly obsessed by the Olympics at the moment. The most painful injury I've seen in a while happened in the weightlifting. Here's a video. Not for the weak stomached, wait for the replay! Slo mo! Dislocated elbow OUCH! Then the weight comes down...

That dislocation looks a bit harsh, don't know enough about lifting to know if his technique contributed or anything. I was impressed by the Chinese helpers jumping out to screen the guy as he lay in agony, very civilised.

Police confiscate War on Terror game board. Their reason was that the enclosed Balaclava could be used to conceal someone's identity during the process of a criminal act. They are obviously ignoring that Balaclavas are being sold freely all over the world. . . . . Oh, the game is supposed to be satirical.

Adult Stem Cells are used to 'regrow' damaged tissues. This is an amazing bit of technology, it would revolutionise the way that people recover from muscle damage, spinal damage and I suppose in one way Brain damage but I am not sure if that one would work. The article is specifically centered around muscle issues. In horses it enables horses with usually career ending injuries to compete again.

Scientists have developed a method for impregnating fabric to allow any fabric to be naturally waterproof (rather than the traditional method where a waterproofing is a thin film over the fabric) and more breathable than normal methods. Cool! :-D

Music defines your personality... so where does that leave me?
Blues: High self-esteem, creative, outgoing, gentle and at ease
Rock/Metal: Low self-esteem, creative, not hard-working, not outgoing, gentle, at ease

I'm gentle, creative, not hard working at ease and...
I have High AND low self esteem (?!), I'm outgoing and NOT outgoing.

I think they've covered ALL the bases there!
They DID however nail dance music lovers as not being gentle. (My thoughts on dance music and its fans are well documented.)
