We have more than a few things that need to find a new home if any one is interested please let me know otherwise they will be thrown in the bin or recycled or given away to charity. If you know a friend who knows a friend who is interested let me know!

- GT Outpost bike (very good condition, brakes and chain need oiling but that is about it!)

What's the deal with the speakers please? Big / small / computer speakers / made of elephant leather?

I would recommend Freecycle, as I've probably already mentioned to you. People on there will take anything, pretty much literally. Have you been having a bit of a clear-out to free some space in the spare (for now) room?

The speakers are KEF hi-fi speakers which are small enough to fit on bookshelves or similar. . .

Will put the book on one side for you.

btw - Does anyone remember what website does the book tracking thing? The idea is to read the book, give it a number and register it on a website then leave the book with a slip on a cafe table etc so someone can pick it up read it then pass on in the same manner.

How old is the GT?

Presuming it's a manly bike...not one more suited for the ladies!

It is about 8-10 years old, however, it is in tip top condition as I was a fanatic about cleaning it down and oiling after each run out. Its probably done about 5k miles. . . .

You would probably need to oil and adjust the gears to make sure they change properly (click gear type changer); oil the chain; pump up the tyres and check for punctures (ie pump up and see if it goes down quick!). Since that is just common maintenance I am pretty confident in saying no known problems. Oh and its blue and silver and proper MANLY!

This is a picture of the style and manufacturer type but not my actual bike. Condition looks similar though.

In that case, they can have it...I'd have to dispose of my bike / store two bikes outside the flat so I think it's for the best. Cheers for the offer though.
