the kind of sunshine i enjoy are those bright crisp mornings in november when the sky is a brilliant blue, and its cold enough to wear a scarf without feeling overdressed.

Totally agree with Fez there.

Rain is bad, because you get wet. Sun is bad when you have to work in a poorly designed office. Sun is good when you get to sit in the shade outside and really enjoy the day.

ah, but rain is also good if you've some decent wellies and a waterproof coat - as billy connelly says; 'no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.'

I like the Billy Connelly quote!
I recorded the temperature in my classroom today and it was 32 degrees! and that was when there weren't also 30 kids in there. Bloody nightmare. we might get sent home tomorrow. hopefully!

Georgeous sunny weather

Post by liz.brownlloyd »

Now why couldn't this have been my week off.

And why couldn't I have been born a Roman Princess with this weather - two hunky male slave in togas feeding me peeled grapes and wafting me with fans!

Life is so damn unfair!

Does Italy actually have a royal family any more, out of curiosity? Besides, I'm sure a Roman Princess would get this weather most of the time, being in Italy an' all, then maybe wintering in North Africa. The downside being you'd probably have an arranged marriage to some old ugly dude.

Fez, I am not really sure where you are going with that one. What are you suggesting?

Wow, Fez is in the running for most eyebrow-raising comment of the year. That's up there with me calling Stan's current beau Roz, which is, of course, his ex's name, and sounds nothing like Jen.

The only real time that I like rain is when it is not too heavy and I am in a fitting place such as the Lake District or Scotland. Other than that, it just annoys me.

I was glad it rained last night though - gave my front garden a good watering.

Just wondering

Post by Chrissie »

Just wondering, with the weather forecasts predicting further high temperatures, how are people keeping cool? and staying awake? all I want to do is find a shady spot for a snooze which is a bit tricky when you're at work?!
On the plus side, sweating is really good for you, like a sauna, it releases all the toxins, just have to be sure you keep hydrated, its only unfortunate that it isn't overly attractive, oh well!

I don't keep cool, I feel really really drained after a day at work!
