This was a very odd romatic film set in WW2. The film revolves around the desertion of a soldier who rushes home to try and save his marriage and prevent his wife from committing adultary.

I was watching this whilst feeling very poorly on Sunday on Film 4. Would give it

but was somehow unable to turn the channel. . . .

I would suggest this is due to alcohol induced coma rather than any effect the film had !!
