This is an interesting film. I have read the original book but I can not remember the story too well. I will have to try and pick it up from a second hand bookshop some time.
This film is an action block buster set in 2035. The USR, United States Robotics company, has been very successful in creating a artificial intelligence. Robots have penetrated through all parts of society. A murder brings a robot sceptic into a race against time and public opinion to save humanity from their own invention.
I personally thought this was a good film that had some strong links to the story. I have only read the shortened version though (If you want I have a nice copy of it).
An excellent cinematic experience in terms of special effects.
Actually, never my favourite Asimov story, and this film didn't really change my mind. Sorry, can't agree on this one, I found it a bit too Hollywood Blockbuster and not enough Real Drama.
Who cares whether he's a good actor?, when a guy looks like that the movie was always going to be a hit a the box office with the laydees, especially with the infamous'getting out of the shower scene' at the beginning of the film?! PDT_002 oh and those robot things were kind of ok too,
I enjoyed this film - once I'd got passed the overly techy bit which to be fair was only for about 20 mins !!! Great special effects, decent story and Will Smith does indeed have a very fine physique !!!

If that were male forum members discussing Scarlett Johansson (for example), we'd be accused of being pervy! There's one rule for some and another for the rest...;)
On the subject of the film, can't really say I can remember much about it. Which either means I wasn't paying much attention (probably irritated at Mr Smith's acting) or that it didn't do that much for me. Hmm...think my brother has it on dvd, so I'll watch it again next time I'm back home.
Nothing says "romance" like a kidnapped injured woman!

I agree.
Lets fight back lads. Erm....... That naked female Robot was damn hot.
i like will smith. any man deserves credit for making a song called 'getting jingy wi' it' a hit single, marry a woman who fronts a damn scary-assed metal band [they were at download this year!], and forgive me for saying this but men in black rocks! so there!
