it is subtler than you might initially give it credit for, and there is a nice romantic link throughout that only gets predicable right at the end - but is then saved by a fanatastic musical closing number. the jokes are imaginative enough to sound fresh even though most will have appeared somewhere else before, and it rarely gets too crude to make you feel more like groaning than laughing.
the love conquers all, every loser gets a girl in the end finish just about works for me because...well, i related so much to the main character i had to like the ending purely for my own sanity!
deffinately worth watching
