Snowing!

I was very impressed that it started snowing yesterday. I was well chuffed :D I was not so impressed this morning when I helped Lizzie scrape the ice off the car window. That was just cold. I can almost feel my hands now! :D

I too was overly excited by the whole snow thing. Less excited with the fact that it left a chunk of thick, glass-like ice sheet on my windscreen. I actually gave up trying to chip it off and drove to work with it obscuring the lower half of my vision. I'm putting my windscreen cover on tonight!

I missed most of it, seeing as I got up at about 1pm today. Doh. Maybe that was why I had difficulty getting up, it sounds like it was pretty cold.

yey! snow, one of my favourite phenomenon! Way better than watching the crazy wind last Thursday. The only question is, will that be the first and last snow shower we get this (very late coming) Winter?!
Mr Gibbs the BBC weather forecaster said the freezing temperatures will be with us through late in the week so get your de-icer out peeps, its gonna be a cold one.

It was a day off, I even scheduled it and everything! I still got to see a bit of snow, and then I baked rock buns and drank some tea with them. They were nice. On the negative side, I may soon wish I had a car if it's going to be that cold...

No snow where we are which was a bummer but also good because teaching kids who have walked through snow is like trying to piss straight in the wind..... it just doesn't happen.

Dare I ask? I can't remember being that enthralled by snow for it to affect my schooling. Plus we were scared of most of the teachers.

i like snow as long as i don't have to interact with it. am i the only one who hated snowball fights purely because making a decent missile involved getting very cold hands or wet gloves?

That was the whole fun of snow when you were a child in school - running around the school in gangs picking on some unfortunate rem in y8 that had given you stick for the last few months and turning him into the human snowman. Great fun.

I liked snowball fights. I hated the cold hands and wet gloves. . . . I also hate it when the snow turns to sleet and ice and makes you slip.

Like today. A nice normal looking bit of road was actually a really slippy section of ice. If I had not been near a fence I may have been spending a few hours in casualty with a broken head. . . . stupid ice.

not fun. when i was in 3rd year i got jumped by six 5th years, rugby tackled to the ground, snow down my shirt, a kick in the stomach and a face full of ice. its things like that which made my time at bedford a living hell.

Well, I wasn't exactly meaning to that extreme Fez. I mean, chucking a bit of snow at someone who has really pissed you off is a nice way to get back at them and ensures that they leave you alone. Plus, generally, it was because that rem had slagged us off or chucked snow at us from a close distance so we got him back. A completely unprovoked attack on someone you don't know is wrong - if you noticed that was why I included '' who had picked on you for the last few months'' in my post.

sorry, i have unresolved hate issues with that period of my life. i don't really remember it snowing much when i was at high school, in fact, i can't recall there being much snow around this area for a few years, not anything substancial at any rate. although i do remeber riding my bike into the back of a car in a bizzard on the way to uni once - the driver thought it was funny when i yelped in surprise after suddenly rebounding off her bumper; seeing a white car when snow is blowing into your face is really hard to spot!
