Maybe we should schedule a massive party for the day they run it, just in case? Any old excuse, I know.
One of the responses to that second article did seem to state we weren't much at risk. The problem is that most people cannot possibly know enough to understand the risks (me included), we simply have to believe what we're told. I get the impression the scientists don't know that much about the potential results either, seeing as they're looking for an entirely new particle.
