BT Vision

Post by Mike »

BT have recently launched a new freeview / hard drive live tv recording box which will be £90 for installation and set up according to their website. We already have sky for digital tv but since they are so rubbish at other items we are considering moving to freeview.

To be honest we would probably not bother and just upgrade to Sky + if it was not for the additional subscriptions required for what is basically a Hire Purchase of their sky + hardware. They are total con artists and I now know how they are managing to improve profits!

Ahem - here is the website, let me know what you think.

The only point of note is:

*BT Vision V-box™ is free to new BT Total Broadband customers or existing BT Total Broadband customers who re-contract as per original contractual period (residential only). Customers not wishing to re-contract will be charged £199 for the V-box™.

Does sort of tie you in a bit, but that's understandable.

I don't plan on moving from BT broadband anytime soon so it would not bother me. All in all they are giving a 4S service which I am very pleased with.

Sky gave a Zero
Virgin was a 3S

I vote 'Yes'...but then I am a snivelling, corporate-ass-licking, BT employee in the BT ShareSave scheme (the better the share price in four years time, the more cash I get...) so you may ignore me if you like! ;)

That is correct. . . . how did you guess. I am not really interested in watching E! True Hollywood stories and the like. . . .
