Right guys, these are the contenders for Word of the Week in my classroom for next monday. Feel free to also let me know what you think.
By the way - i also have a sheet on the wall that's got a table on it that's titled "Fantastic Words and Where to Find them". the last thing i put up was 'loquacious' - Hermione says it about Krum in the new Potter movie. the source has to be accessible to teens but suggestions are welcome.

I like the way incriminate sounds- maybe not the meaning of the word though !!

Hmm, close one between melancholy and paradox for me. Melancholy wins, because it's invovled in a Smashing Pumpkins album title, and it's more useful in poetry.
