Who would play you, in the movie of your life?

Post by BarcelonAl »

The dj on XFM this morning was talking about this. Apparently Ainsley Harriott thinks Will Smith would be the right choice of actor for a movie based on his life (poor, deluded fool!)! It got me thinking though...who would I want to play me?

After a great deal of thought I've come up with a shortlist of three suitable candidates. These are actors who most closely resemble myself in terms of looks, as well as personality:

1. Brad Pitt
2. Tom Cruise
3. Johhny Depp

After a little more thought, I figured that the make-up needed to turn them from bronzed adonises to pale, skinny Al-a-likes would be too much, so I've had another re-think...

1. Beaker from the Muppets
2. Simon Pegg
3. Michael J Fox

So, who would you want to star in the movie of your life?

I would like to think that Richard E Grant would play me, high forhead he has in abundance!

If not then how about Rowan Aitkinson?! :D

Based on looks I guess I'd have to go for either;

Winona Ryder...or...
Christina Ricci (particularly from her Wednesday Adams days)

as they are the 2 actresses that people have commented that I have the look of. Personality-wise I'm not sure, maybe...Callista Flockhart (from her Ally McBeal days) ?! :?

Having ginger hair means that my list of actors is slightly trimmed down to a few terrible random people/k-listed celebrities.

1) Chris Evans,
2) Rick Astley,
3) Ginger Spice,

Evans would be too much like the Howard Stern film. If it was Astley then it would have to be in the Opera style. If it was Ginger Spice then it would have to be in the X-rated style.

There is one I am thinking of and can picture but I can't remember his name at the moment. I will post it when I can.

Sue would like to be played by Julia Roberts and she thinks I should be played by Richard Gere.

I don't agree on both counts.

I think she should be played by Billie Piper and I'll portray myself. I'm looking forward to the love scenes....

Christina Ricci, definitely, as close a face match as I can think of, quite a unique face shape. Winona Ryder I can't quite see, though. Don't make me break out the photo-editing tools, Al, it might get messy!

I don't think anyone's mentioned Woody Allen because you don't actually look that much like him, Mike. You are quite funny, though.

Aaaaand I suppose I could nominate Mark Heap from Spaced for myself. Someone's got to tdo it.

I've not a clue who'd play me?! the only person i've ever been told i look like is Sigourney Weaver (but only when i used to have short hair) but i think we might have age problems. more like i could play HER in a movie of HER life! need to think of someone better.
For Mike, i think there's a passing resemblance to the actor who played Dr Mark Greene in ER. Can't remember his real name, antony edwards??? he was in Top Gun too. cool points.

Why? They'll be over very quickly.
(And don't blame it on the director cutting scenes for more important bits)

At college I was told that I resemble Miles from Frasier in terms of characteristics. Having watched Frasier quite a bit recently, this disturbs me.

I think the best person to play me would be the kid who plays Ron Weasley. Now that would be a cool film. In fact, I'll play him. Hermoine? Not yet, legal reasons stop me. However, by book seven..... bada bing bada boom

Didn't I mention I was writing the script as well?
